When you hear the term orthodontist, you probably have an immediate image in the mind of a young teenager with a mouth full of metal braces. An orthodontist is educating the general dentist, plus two to three years' residence in orthodontics. Many offices employ dentist orthodontist for the convenience of their patients. An orthodontist is a dentist who is trained in the design and implementation of equipment such as brakes, which are designed to correct crooked teeth. While most people who use the brakes are teenagers, many adults turn to come to orthodontists when they need it, to correct a deformity in their teeth. The frenectomies today may be clear, so they no longer will have the look of metal versions of past years. Of course, most adolescents use of metal braces because they are affordable and durable. Because the dental equipment such as brakes, require frequent adjustments to get to the teeth are in the correct position, we get to know your orthodontist well during the time you're using an appliance. Remember that when you have braces, you still need to pay attention to your oral hygiene. While the brakes can be annoying, the end result is a perfect smile!
