The treatment of halitosis have several consecutive phases.
* Getting to a dentist to explore the oral cavity, all teeth and gums. You might suggest tartrectomia to remove plaque and treat teeth with cavities or remove the parts in very poor condition.
* Use dental floss: to remove the remains of food embedded between the teeth. You must perform after meals and before brushing teeth.
* Brushing teeth at least three times a day or after each main meal and above all never forget before going to sleep at night. Brushing the teeth should be carried out in all their faces and must also include the back of the tongue. We recommend a soft toothbrush if your gums bleed and a toothpaste that has a high content of fluorine.
* Mouthwashes mouth after brushing or brushed. Its effectiveness is temporary and should not substitute for tooth brushing.
* Mastic sugarless gum: it is another remedy against halitosis between meals or brushed teeth, because it increases saliva production. Nor should replace the tooth brushing.
* Intake plenty of water: it is recommended to drink one to two liters of water a day to encourage the production of saliva.
* Avoid snuff, alcohol, coffee and food of intense taste or smell like garlic, enhancing the halitosis.
