How pass the infection of the gums to the bone?

If you do not have teeth coming out of the bone, truly there would be no way for the bacteria causing the infection to get to the bone.So that people with dentures do not contract the disease! Unfortunately, around the neck of each tooth is an area that is like a space or hole, where bacteria can move freely and attack the structure of the bone. This space is what your dentist is referred to as a "bag." The depth of this bag is what your dentist measured with a special instrument called a "probe" (see illustration). The normal depth of this bag is usually 2 to 3 mm. before reaching the bone.So when you hear your dentist say you have deep pockets, this means that it has lost some bone in these areas. This space is all around the neck of each tooth,so it is clear that we must take a certain amount of effort to keep them clean and free of bacteria.
