How is it diagnosed bad breath?
The exam consists of two parts. A clinical examination, which found all the dental structures, levels of plaque and state of health of the gums. We also note the color that shows the back of the tongue, this is an important point because this is the production area for the greatest number of volatile sulfur compounds (which produce bad breath) in the mouth. These compounds are a waste of the bacteria Gram. negative when these are fed protein present in the plaque. The second part is the laboratory examination to be carried out. This team has a sensor that measures the levels of sulfur that occurs in the mouth, being the normal level of 0-40 ppb. When the halimetro mark between 40-100 ppb faced with a mild case, between 100-150 ppb mark when faced with a case and whether moderate brand above 150 ppb are facing a serious case.
